August Scripture of the Month
Romans 8:28 NLT
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
This verse is a reminder that God is in control of everything, even the things that seem bad. He can use even our trials and tribulations to work out his good purposes in our lives. If we love God and are called according to his purpose, then we can trust that he will work everything together for our good.
Here are some reflections on this verse:
When we are going through difficult times, it can be easy to forget that God is in control. We may start to doubt his goodness or his love for us. But Romans 8:28 reminds us that God is always working, even when we can't see it. He is working to bring about his good purposes in our lives, even if we don't understand them.
We can trust God to use even our trials and tribulations for our good. He can use them to grow our faith, to teach us patience, and to make us more like him. He can also use them to bring us closer to him and to other people.
If we love God and are called according to his purpose, then we can have hope in the midst of our trials. We can know that God is working everything together for our good, even if we don't understand it right now.
